Community Guidelines
Last updated: March 10, 2026
Eat, Stay, Love exists to help travelers connect authentically over shared meals and experiences. These guidelines keep the community safe, respectful, and welcoming for everyone.
Be Real
Use your real name and recent photos. Your profile should represent who you actually are. We verify profiles and may remove accounts with misleading information.
- Use clear, recent photos of yourself
- Don't impersonate someone else
- Be honest about your interests and intentions
Be Respectful
Treat every person you meet through the App with dignity and respect, regardless of their background, nationality, gender, or beliefs.
- No harassment, bullying, or threats of any kind
- No hate speech, discrimination, or slurs
- No unsolicited sexual messages or content
- Respect people's boundaries — if someone isn't interested, move on gracefully
Be Reliable
When you commit to a dinner event, people are counting on you. Reliability is the foundation of our community.
- Show up. If you RSVP, be there. Hosts plan based on your commitment.
- Cancel early. If plans change, cancel as soon as possible so someone else can take your spot.
- Communicate. If you're running late or need to change plans, message the group.
- No-shows hurt everyone. Repeated no-shows without cancelling will result in account restrictions.
Keep It Safe
- Always meet in public places for the first time
- Trust your instincts — if something feels off, leave
- Don't share personal information (home address, financial details) with people you just met
- Each guest covers their own meal — never send money to someone you met on the App
- Report suspicious behavior immediately
No Spam or Commercial Activity
- Don't use the App to promote products, services, or businesses
- Don't send mass messages or repetitive content
- Don't use the App to recruit, sell, or solicit
Hosting Guidelines
If you host a dinner event:
- Choose a safe, public venue
- Set clear expectations (cuisine, vibe, any costs)
- Message your guests the day before to confirm
- Only place deposits you're comfortable covering yourself
- If you need to cancel, do so as early as possible and notify all guests
Feedback and Reporting
After every dinner, we collect feedback to keep the community great. This helps us:
- Recognize great hosts and engaged guests
- Identify and remove bad actors
- Continuously improve the experience for everyone
If someone makes you uncomfortable or violates these guidelines, report them through the App. We review every report and take appropriate action.
Consequences
Violations of these guidelines may result in:
- Warning — for minor or first-time issues
- Temporary suspension — for repeated issues or moderate violations
- Permanent ban — for serious violations, harassment, or illegal activity
We reserve the right to remove any account at our discretion to protect the safety and integrity of the community.
